We started Oakland Catering Company for a simple reason: East Bay hosts deserve catering that tastes like a restaurant kitchen made it, not a warming tray. From Uptown offices and Jack London Square lofts to Berkeley backyards and Alameda waterfront venues, we cook, deliver, staff and clean up so you get to be a guest at your own event.

Oakland Catering Company is part of Fresh Pulp Holdings LLC, a Bay Area catering group operating several regional brands. Together the group caters well over a thousand events a year and has served more than a million guests.

Practically, that means your event is planned by a coordinator who knows East Bay traffic, loading docks and venue rules — while the food comes out of a production kitchen with the capacity and buying power of a much larger operation. A twelve-person team lunch in Downtown Oakland on Wednesday and a 250-guest wedding in the Oakland Hills on Saturday both get the same attention.

Oakland is home base, and we cater across the East Bay and around the Bay: Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, Alameda, Piedmont, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Hayward, Orinda, Moraga, Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Concord and Pleasant Hill — plus San Francisco and the Peninsula for larger full-service events. One flat delivery rate applies across our core East Bay service area, so a Lake Merritt office pays the same as a Berkeley hills backyard.
